The Beach Haven is owned by us, Tim and Maria Martindale and it was our own home for twenty years, before we had the opportunity to buy the house that Tim was born in, so we live just a couple of hundred metres distance away as the crow flies! Far enough for privacy but close enough to be on hand if necessary!
The Beach Haven, being a bungalow, is ideally suited for multi-generation families. We regularly have guests in their 90’s! We are also very conveniently located for the beaches and the town, both are just a ten minute walk away.
The west-facing deck is a real sun-trap from midday onwards while the secure, tree-lined garden provides gentle shady sanctuary.

A vibrant, bright room with vaulted ceiling, large picture window & sliding doors to sun deck. There is a large Cooker with ceramic hob with 5 rings and oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. An iron, ironing board and airer are also provided
Lounge/Diner
Cosy lounge/diner with real open fire, electric-recliner leather sofas, 42″ TV, Bluray 5.1 home-theatre system, dimmable lighting, cd and dvd collection. Large dining table.
Outside:
There is a lovely, private and enclosed rear garden with mature trees, shrubs and roses. A large sun-deck with chimney is a perfect afternoon sun-trap should you feel the need to stay put, while a dining deck with table and chairs, to accommodate 8 people, is located under a honeysuckle-covered pergola.
At the front there is a drive with off-road parking for two cars.
A large, well-ventilated lean-to shed at the side of the house provide secure storage for your surfboards, wetsuits, bikes etc.
Utility Room:
Washing machine, tumble drier. Drying area for wetsuits, walking boots etc.
Linen and towels are included. Please bring your own beach towels. Linen is changed weekly.

The Beach Haven is a luxury, dog-friendly, holiday cottage Bude in the seaside town of Bude in north Cornwall. It is ideally situated for for easy access to the beach and town and was converted from family home to holiday let in 2014. In addition to the well-appointed interior, there is a lovely, mature, tree-lined garden and a sun-trap decking area. Self catering holiday cottages Bude are in high demand during the school holidays, particularly luxury properties that sleep eight or more. At the Beach Haven we appreciate that not everyone wants to pay a premium for a large holiday cottage in the quieter weeks so we have therefore priced these weeks as if it were a two-bedroomed property that sleeps four people. This makes it exceptionally good value for money all year round. Should you wish to bring extra people in these off-peak weeks, you are more than welcome to and we only charge a small premium per additional person.
Anyone wanting to bring their dog on holiday with them, will find their accommodation options cut right down, but as dog-owners ourselves, we have made the the Beach Haven as dog-friendly as possible and can even offer a dog sitting service if required. Finlay, our golden retriever, is an experienced chaperone!

We pride ourselves on going the extra mile to make your holiday extra special. On arrival you will be greeted by a wonderful traditional Cornish Cream Tea and fresh flowers. alongside a home-made cake, a bottle of wine in the fridge, tea, filter coffee and milk. A scuttle of coal and a net of logs is provided should you wish for a cosy first evening. Shopping can also be arranged for your arrival too.We can also provide an optional starter pack of essential foods so you don’t have to make a mad dash to the supermarket as soon as you arrive. We want you to make yourselves at home and to start enjoying your holiday from the moment you arrive.

We have installed the fastest fibre-optic broadband with wi-fi available throughout the accommodation therefore if you need to send that important email, or the kids can’t live without their online games, don’t worry, you’ll be fine at The Beach Haven!
