How’s this for something a little different?  In 1944  the US 2nd Rangers (the ‘Saving Private Ryan’ regiment) were encamped in Bude, training for the D-Day assaults on Omaha beach and the infamous, disastrous assault on the non-existent guns at Pointe Du Hoc. This September, re-enacters will set up camp at Crooklets beach and stage a stunning recreation of the cliff assaults during the inaugural Bude at War weekend.

All this will be happening just a gentle ten-minute stroll away from The Beach Haven so why not treat yourself to a week away in mid-September, which is so often one of the sunniest and warmest times of the year. We currently have availability for the week starting Saturday 16th at £895 for up to 4 people. (Additional persons @£30 each) We are now booked for this week but we do have availability for the week of September 2nd. You can book online by clicking here.
