I excited to be able to show you aerial photos of Bude and the area from new an unusual viewpoints with my new flying camera! This should also extend to some videos when I’ve learned how to edit them properly!!
Due to time constraints and some unfavourable weather of late, I’ve not had much of a chance to use it but the first few occasions have been very promising. I do hope you enjoy these views of Bude from above – and keep an eye out for regular updates on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
The Beach Haven, close to countryside as well as the seaside!
This shows the Beach Haven’s position close to Crooklets beach. In face this makes it look further away than it really is. It is just 5 to 10 minutes walk, depending on your speed! The body of water close to the Beach Haven is Maer Lake, a nature reserve managed by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
A dramatic view of Bude Bay at mid tide showing the new beach huts at Crooklets, the cricket pitch and pavilion; and our fabulous sea pool.
Bude Bay just before sunset in early March.
Bude’s iconic Barrel Rock just before sunset.
Bude’s fabulous open-air sea pool with some hardy souls enjoying in the chilly March water! Summerleaze Downs and the cricket pitch are immediately behind and show how much lovely green space we have in Bude.
One of Bude’s best viewpoints is from Compass Point looking north across the breakwater and Summerleaze beach to Morwenstow in the distance. This view is from a few hundred feet higher!
