We are well aware that there is limited demand for properties requiring 8 beds in the quieter months so rather than have The Beach Haven empty we offer a special discounted rate for couples out-of-season. By ‘couples’, we really mean one-bedroom use. With less laundry to do, fewer bedrooms to heat etc, we are happy to pass those savings on in the form of a discount.
Outside of the peak weeks The Beach Haven is already priced for 4-people and on top of this we offer a further £100 discount on our Couples’ weeks. They are typically available before Easter and from the beginning of November (apart from Christmas and New Year).
The Beach Haven is a high-quality, dog-friendly, holiday cottage in the seaside town of Bude (Cornwall), situated just a ten-minute stroll to the beaches, National Trust clifftops and the town centre. In addition to the well-appointed interior, there is a lovely, mature, tree-lined garden; a sun-trap decking area and a unique, rooftop balcony with view to the sea and over Maer Lake nature reserve.

We are so lucky with the number and variety of walks right from the doorstep of The Beach Haven. Whether you prefer long, strenuous clifftop adventures or simple beach strolls both are just ten minutes walk away. In addition there are gentle canal-side walks; inland loops with woodlands, open farmland and countryside; coastal paths; and even the three-mile beach walk up to Sandymouth. If you start with a short drive, both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moors are easily accessible. We love dogs and have made the Beach Haven as dog-friendly as possible. We will happily accept up to three dogs.
We pride ourselves on going the extra mile to make your holiday extra special. On arrival, you will be greeted by a wonderful, traditional, home-made Cornish Cream Tea and fresh flowers; tea; filter coffee and milk. A scuttle of coal and a net of logs is provided should you wish for a cosy first evening. Shopping can also be arranged for your arrival too. We want you to make yourselves at home and to start enjoying your holiday from the moment you arrive. We also have an EV charger for the exclusive use of our guests.
